The Align Framework

As a church leader you know the needs of the world, the task that God has called your church to accomplish. You have a fresh vision from God. You have begun implementing the things you have read in the “how to books” and what you have observed in those churches that seem to “be doing it”. Yet you still feel stuck – you aren’t getting the results you want and God desires. The problem is you are bumping up against the biblical principle of sowing and reaping. In other words...
Your church is perfectly designed to get the results it’s getting.
Whether your church is at a crossroads, has plateaued in its development, or needs to chart the next chapter of its spiritual strategic journey, the Align Framework can make a difference. The Align Framework empowers church leaders to lead their churches toward greater ministry effectiveness.

Whether your church is at a crossroads, has plateaued in its development, or needs to chart the next chapter of its spiritual strategic journey, the Align Framework can make a difference. The Align Framework empowers church leaders to lead their churches toward greater ministry effectiveness.
The Align Framework is built on these guiding principles...
- The church exists for those who are not yet a part of it.
- Jesus didn’t tell the world to go to church rather he told the church to go to the world.
- A disciple of Jesus is one who identifies with Jesus, seeks to live the life Jesus lived, and helps others do the same.
- The only task Jesus has given to the church is to make disciples.
- The success of a church is measured by the question, “Is the church multiplying disciples in such a way that they are bringing the Kingdom of God near?”
- You reap what you sow. Your church, as an organizational system, is perfectly designed to get the results it is getting. To have different results you must change the system.

What is the ALIGN Framework?
The Align Framework is a systemic look at your church. It consists of seven interconnected elements equal in their ability to impact the direction and functioning of the church. When properly aligned they create the framework for a church to achieve unique, significant and eternal impact for the Kingdom of God. The seven elements of the Align Framework are...
Focus
Focus provides direction and answers the questions of Purpose – who God has called us to be; Values – how God has uniquely wired us and Vision – what is the impact in the lives of the people and community that the church is making as it lives out its purpose.
Missional churches are externally focused believing that the church exists for those who are not yet a part of it. Their focus is clear – everyone understands it, common – everyone embraces it, and compelling – everyone knows they must have a part in it.
Strategy
Strategy describes how the church is going to live out its purpose and see its vision accomplished. It includes the people flow, core strategies, goals and action initiatives that enable the church to accomplish its vision.
Missional churches are strategic as they incarnationally embrace their communities, the poor and disenfranchised. Their disciple making strategy is built on a people flow process that embraces the “go and send” example of Jesus as they make and multiply disciples “from the harvest to the harvest”.
Culture
Culture describes who, at its very core, the church is. It consists of those underlying assumptions, beliefs, values and behaviors the church functions within. Without speaking a word culture tells new people who the church really is.
Words such as “real”, “accepting”, and “hope” characterize missional churches. They give life and instill hope as they gladly embrace people where they are while challenging and encouraging them to live the life God meant for them.
Gifting
Gifting describes the uniqueness of the church as a body, which is identified through the unique spiritual gifts, abilities and skills of the people God has brought together.
Missional churches understand their uniqueness to the overall work of the Kingdom of God by intentionally embracing the spiritual gifts, abilities and talents of those who are a part of it. They provide training for and encourage people to engage in ministry opportunities that develop and expand their areas of giftedness.
Process
Process describes how the work of the church is accomplished. These processes include the formal organizational policies as well as administrative procedures and decision-making processes.
Missional churches are process fanatics. They constantly evaluate processes making sure that they are designed to empower the making and multiplying of disciples.
Structure
Structure includes the formal governing boards and staff structure as well as the relational lines of authority and accountability.
Missional churches realize that structures must be empowering and organic in nature as they facilitate and serve the releasing of people to widespread ministry opportunities both within the life of the congregation and wider Kingdom opportunities.
Leadership
Leadership includes pastor(s), staff, as well as people in significant leadership positions within the church.
Missional churches have leaders that are Kingdom engaged. They live out of a passion for God and a clear sense of call to equip, empower and release people into ministry. They realize that it s not about a church, my church or your church but it is about THE CHURCH.
The Align Weekend is designed for churches who desire to be more effective in accomplishing God’s missional purposes. Through a
spiritual discovery process the church leadership explores key questions that assess the missional effectiveness and alignment of the seven critical elements of the Align Framework present in their church. READ MORE!
